OMG! Eri has a MINI Cooper!! *loses mind*

...
*calming down*
...

Ok, so I randomly decided to watch some Detective Conan tonight, and the earliest ep I've got that I hadn't watched yet was #333. So there's this scene where Eri, Ran, & Conan are driving to a client's house, and she's TOTALLY driving an older model MINI!
I do not claim to know anything about cars, but from looking around online, it looks a heck of a lot like the '93 MINI on wikipedia.
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! :) more reasons that DC is awesome! YAY MINI!

>> see the '93 MINI on Wikipedia <<
I'm posting up here a list of stuff that might be of interest to someone, and if you want it, just say the word and its yours. Anything nobody wants i'll probably dump up on craigslist, but you ppl can have it for free if you're interested (even if you want it just to sell it yourself, thats fine. i just want it gone).
I only ask that if you don't live within driving distance, that you reimburse me for shipping.

Manga (English):

<strike>Chobits - all 8 volumes, with collectors box</strike>

Desert Coral - volume 1

<strike>Wish - all 4 volumes, volume 1 collector's edition with dust jacket</strike>

Hibiki's Magic - volume 1

<strike>Oh My Goddess!:
-- Adventures of the Mini-Goddesses
-- Ninja Master
-- The Queen of Vengeance</strike>

Manga (Japanese):

.hack //Legend of the Twilight - volumes 1&2

Time Stranger Kyoko - volumes 1-3 (all?) - have a printout of a translation of volume 1

Yu-Gi-Oh! - volumes 31-35

Sailor Moon R - volume 8, 9, and movie - these are the anime versions with glossy paper and screenshots from the animation

Dragon Half - trilogy volume 1 (342 pages)

Ribon Magazines - issues 4-6 from 2004 - includes all (or most all) of the random crap they stick inside. dunno what all the series are that're in em, i got it for the Full Moon wo Sagashite ;)

Games:

StarFox Command (DS)

PuyoPop Fever (DS)

<strike>Taiko Drum Master (PS2) - game + 1 drum</strike>

DVDs:

Elfen Lied - volume 1 (with box for set)

<strike>Final Fantasy VII - Advent Children</strike>

<strike>Case Closed - volume 1 (somehow i ended up with two copies of this lol...)</strike>

Plushies:

Cthulhu (regular version/size)

<strike>Ein (Cowboy Bebop)</strike>

Chii (Chobits)

Beanie Babies:
-- Erin the bear (mint)
-- Peace the bear (mint)
-- Princess the bear (mint)
-- Ears the rabbit
-- Iggy the Iguana
-- Loosy the canadian goose
-- Gobbles the turkey
-- Snip the cat
-- Prance the cat
-- Claude the crab (have tag.. but just snapped off in my hand.. lol..)
-- Stinky the skunk (no tag)
-- Sly the fox (no tag)

Panda beanie (not TY)

Other:

<strike>Sting replica sword - Lord of the Rings (not the uber fancy quality one, but it is metal and is fun to swing around and break lamps with ;))</strike>

ok, so i was bad. but... well.. ok, so i was just bad ^^; but my badness has now been completed as my package arrived in the mail today.

i bought a new Nintendo DS (the navy blue one i've been lusting after), AND i also found the Dewprism soundtrack! the actual japanese release too- not the bootleg version from Tiwan! [the reason i'm so anal about it being the authentic version is that in my opinion, if i'm spending money on a ripoff version, i may as well torrent it. *shrug* i'd rather have my $ go to the right place]

so i'm just aaaaaaaaaaaall sorts of happy ^^ my DS is so pretty ^________^ in all its awesome blueness. hehe. i want to get a case for it tho, so it doesnt get scratched up. protect it right from the get-go like i did with my Nano.

thank you to everyone who commented on my last post and/or spoke to me in regards to it's topic. throughout all of today i kept flipping into this really depressed mood, not quite knowing what to do with myself. i felt drained, and when i saw myself in the mirror i actually looked hollow. it was scary.

coming home and seeing everyone's support has really helped me to remember that as much as this has sucked, it's you guys who are important.
it's you who i know will be there for me.
it's you who i know i want to be there for.
it's you all who i love.
it's you all who are worth shedding tears over when times are hard.

the rest of it is garbage, and i'm not going to waste my time and energy being upset over something that doesn't really matter anyway.

you're all such great friends.

thank you.

i had a really great day today until i got home and logged on to FFXI. now.. you would think.. that since its ohh.. i dunno... a GAME.. it would be a fun thing to do. but when you log in, and immediately get kicked out of your linkshell chat group, its like taking a nice relaxing lounge and suddenly getting punched in the gut by someone you trusted.

since i couldnt get into the shell to ask what the deal was, i wrote a post on their website/forum. considering how upset i was, i think it was actually rather tame. unsuprisingly, the post was deleted within an hour.

i'm not asking for sympathy, and none of you even have to read this... i just... ...i ...i need my words to be posted somewhere ... where they can't be just wiped away at someone else's discretion...

Initial Post:

hi there.
first of all, i'm sorry to everyone that i have a fairly demanding life outside of final fantasy xi, and that i do not meet the requirements of the new members to join the shell.

that said, i would like to say that i have been trying. i really have. regardless of how it may seem to any of you. and i've really been thrilled that i've been able to be a part of a number of the CoP missions recently, and been able to do capped stuff and feel at least sort of on equal ground with the other members in the parties.

i made a lot of friends in this shell, and every time i logged on i looked forward to saying hi and seeing how everyone was doing. just the other day i was sadly thinking to myself how i wished i lived close enough to go the the LAN party that i read is being planned for somewhere in PA. it tore at my heart when Pleth quit, because while my first loyalty is to him for being a friend outside of the game, i didnt want to leave all the freinds i had made in Anon.

you all were a good group of people, and it was a pleasure to spend time together.

~

i just logged on this evening, with the aim to work really hard and stay up all night until i was able to complete the CoP 3-3 fights and get all ready to do Diablos tomorrow with Jagged and everyone else coming with him. I was planning on even trying to leave work early so i could get online faster that evening.

i logged in, was about to say hi to everyone, and suddenly got a message saying I had just been kicked out of the shell.

no warning. no nothing.
i dont know who broke my pearl; and i dont know if it was an individual or a community decision.

but its FUCKING COWARDICE that whoever you were couldn't /tell me to my face that i was about to be booted, and what the reason was.

thank you to the rest of the shell for sharing your time, thoughts, good memories, and hardships with me. i loved being able to play this game with you.

to any involved parties, FUCK you for being such an inconsiderate asshole to me. especially when as far as i've known, i've never said a harsh word to a single person in this shell, and the only thing i know of that could have gained animosity is not being able to live up to the shell requirements that came in to effect AFTER i joined the group.

whatever the cause, whatever the circumstances, whatever anything- i dont want to be reinvited back in should the question arise. but if any of you who genuinely were my freind want to keep in touch, please add me to your friend list. i dont want to take the initiative and add you for the fear that i dont know what events led to my exile, and i no longer know who i can trust among you.

now i bid you all adieu before i start crying again~

--------

Follow-up Post:

I have to admit, I'm not really suprised you deleted my post.
While I did save it on a text file to my computer and I *could* just re-post it, I've decided I'm not that much of an ass. I can be the bigger person.

I still want to reiterate though that any of you who genuinely were my freind and would like to keep in touch, please add me to your friend list. I don't want to take the initiative and add you for the fear that I don't know what events led to my exile, and therefore no longer know who I can trust among you.

If you are one of those people, please don't take offense by this; I have had serious traumatic damage from trusting people I thought I could believe in before, and I honestly don't think I can stick my neck out right now. There are a number of you in mind who I really hope to hear from, and I've already found out that two of them shouldn't be there.

PLEASE don't delete this. Thats all that I ask of you. I just don't want to lose touch with some members of the shell who might not think I'm a useless existance. I'm begging you. Please.
so...... yesterday we got a new family member. last weekend when my dad and i were in berkely we fell in love with a kitten we passed at one of the animal adoption groups set up in front of the shops. we had tried to be strong and ignore him, but we failed miserably and ended up going back the next day to try and find out who the organization was and how we could get the little fluff ball.
we filled out all the paperwork and faxed it in, and yesterday we all drove back up and picked him up.
so meet Taiko; our 11 week old little tabby. ^^

<lj:music>unfortunatly nothing since i didnt get to borders to buy it</lj:music>

so yeah... i was riding my bike to go to the store... i had a list of things to pick up, and figured it'd be fun to get some exercise at the same time since i always drive everywhere and i just recently got a bike lock.

i didnt make it to the store. for those of you who know the area, i was on Mowry going past the turn off to Peralta when i got hit from behind by a car.
i was so ungodly lucky i can't even believe it. i got out of this with a scraped up arm and a really bruised butt, and my left gear shift on my bike is cracked up. i havent checked to see if my iPod still works. i hurt, like, a lot. but i'm not dying and i didnt even break anything. we took x-rays and whatnot, but i'm really pretty fine all things considered.
just really shaken up. and it hurts to sit, so i dont really want to be at the computer all that long.
but yeah, fyi, thats how my wonderful day ended up getting screwed.

all i have to say, is that on the way home we passed the crash site, and i growled at it commenting "..bloody intersection." my dad very appropriately added that at least it really wasnt a bloody intersection.

i'm gonna go take a shower and lie down for a while.

hooorraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay WEEKEND!

i have a totally new appreciation for how awesome weekends are. see, weekends during college are good and all.. but weekends at work mean that there is NO HOMEWORK! XD HOOOOOOO-RAH~!
and yay for livejournal working again. the last time i tried to post it was all fuggled up and i couldn't get anything to load.

but yea, anywho, my job is awesome and im really enjoying it. i'm learning so much too (some of which i think i should have learned in my digital audio class, but hey.... >_> grr.)
i'm basically doing all the post production work to put presentations online with slides (powerpoint) flipping along side. so i'm editing video and audio, and running it through a program to line up all the slide timings and such things. its A LOT of work, but its fun too, imo. then next month i'll start working on doing the actual production side of things *hides* omg i'm so nervous about that.... there's 3 jobs that will be comprised of. one person controlling the 4 cameras, one person as the switcher, and one person as the audio tech. i'm sure it'll be fun once i get the hang of it, but till then i'm just paranoid about screwing up... seeing as these things go out on the internet LIVE for EVERYONE to see. so if i fuck up, it's way public >_<

so now i'm loafing around, with my vision slightly strobe-lighted from a beer (i have decided that the feeling of looking around w/ a strobe-light going -but without being able to pick out the black flashes- is what it feels like to be mildly 'under the influence') and i'm not sure what i'm going to do for the rest of the evening. but whatever it is, it will not require a lot of thought. i'm just happy to be able to be lazy for a while ;)

------------------
Edit: another really happy thing is that there is free food like EVERYWHERE at Cisco. XD whenever there's an all day event we get to smooge food - yesterday was Togo's, today was pizza - and in the break room there is an entire refrigerator (one of the ones like at stores with the clear front) FULL of bottled water, and another one full of all kinds of soda and juice. if you ever get dehydrated at this place, it is your OWN DAMN FAULT. rofl XD
OH, and to top it all off, today i got the pizza on the way back from grabbing one of the firestore's drives, and I ate it at my desk while i was editing (yes, we can eat in front of the computers o_0), so i didn't even have to take off a half our for lunch! XD rofl. sweet beans!

XD and here that was the piece i thought was going to be late getting here.
and from looking at the tracking numbers, i think most of everything else will get here tomorrow. but the monitor might not get here till monday =_= bah. well, we shall see what happens.

i got my third installment of leaves from Michael's today. gonna start working on the fabric part of the cloak this afternoon and see how i can get that attached to the mask. i really want to work on the fiberglass stuff.... but my dad said to wait till he's around to help me since its aparently kinda weird to work with.

oh, and totally random: when i was out i stopped by Cost Plus, and i completely fell in love with a bed i found there. o_O so i guess i'm not yet 100% sure of what i'm going to do about that. i'm starting to get some evilly awesome thoughts of how to design the room though. i'll post about that more when i figure it out. ^^

wow, stuff is good. like... really busy, but really good. and that's saying something considering all the not-so-good stuff that has been happening over here.

first off my parents & I went up to Tahoe this weekend, and that was really fun. we're also going to be starting some more construction on our house up there, and that's all sorts of exciting. I can't wait till we can get rid of the renters >_<
on sunday, we went up to reno to visit one of my mom's friends who's a bernese mountain dog breeder. she has like... 35 dogs.. minimum. o.0 its completely insane. you look in any direction and can count like 15 of them. seriously -- i did it. aaaaaaaaaaaaaand, to top that off there were 12 puppies there!!!! X3 eight of them were 6 weeks old, and 4 were 8 & 9. omg.. there were just like puppies everywhere. it was wonderful. ^___^ the uber cuteness was almost too much to take.
here's some pictures ~~>

we got home on monday evening, and when i got up in the morning, i had a very happy email waiting for me. I got my job at Cisco! =D I'm so beyond excited I don't even know what to do with myself. It's part time, but its $25/hour @_o **mind boggles** I'm currently filling out forms and whatnot, and I'll be starting work on September 1st.

and then! yesterday I ordered all my parts for my new computer! it shall be the Ubernostrom of computers X3 <s>it makes me feel more like a woman</s>
so all that stuff should get shipped out any time now, and i might even have it by the end of the week. (except for my sound card and speakers, because Creative sucks as far as their shipping time frames =.=

another bit of news -- dollar stores are awesome for cosplay. when i was out at the store today, i stopped by one (that i didn't even know was there) and got some sunglasses to tear apart for the lenses of my mask. ^^ so now i'm gonna start on covering over the thing with fiberglass casting (that my dad is pilfering from the office) and the project can continue! the next challenge will be lighting the eyes. i'm looking forward to that part ^^

oh! and speaking of sunglasses, we went to the Sierra Trading Post outlet store in Reno, and i got some really kickass sunglasses (to actually wear), so no more going blind in the car for me!!! =D HOOO-Rah!

that be all for now -- i'm going to go off to a corner and read my new Ultimate Spider-Man comics that came out today ;3
